Lucky you to get two of them to sit still long enough to get their picture! Since I don't see any flowers I guess this is some type of host plant.

@skipt07 Well, Skip, they were kinda attached. They flew right in front of me and I couldn't at first see what he was carrying! There was a lot of underbrush around, so the butterflies were thriving. Must have been a host plant. I am thinking grapevines?
