Peaceful Village

Happy Thanksgiving! I am currently experiencing carb overload. We had a great meal, though. I hope you all had a great day with friends and family.

I have been setting up the Christmas Village. It is "getting there". I like how the afternoon sun hits it. Today, I think this is appropriate. It used to be that all was quiet on Thanksgiving Day as we gave thanks and enjoyed our families. Now, there is hustle and bustle as the retailers try to entice us to shop today. Not me! So, you will see my Village is quiet, with nary a soul on the street! They are all home enjoying their Thanksgiving feasts.

I love your village, Danette and if it were up to me I would like to go back to the old way of shopping. I agree Thanksgiving is a time to be home! Today's world is insane :-) I must have had 300 e-mails waiting for me after a day's absence on Thanksgiving offering all these cyber deals.....and they keep coming. A beautiful village and love the lighting effects. I need to start decorating!
