Just had a second to take a quick shot of the table before my family lost patience with me. The turkey was cooked in an infrared fryer (no oil) for the second year. Somehow, the thermometer must not have been placed properly (not my job!) and when I cut the beautifully brown turkey, parts were not completely cooked! :-( No matter. I finished the uncooked parts, but dinner was still a bit delayed. One day I will learn to cut a turkey and make it look easy like they do on TV. The table was smaller this year without my dad and with my youngest son at his girlfriend's in TX. Still, my sister was here for the first time in a while. We had a pleasant day. I hope you did, too!
@pennystot Ha! They are much beloved here in Florida. Our grocery chain, Publix, had a commercial for many years featuring them (as they come "alive"), so they began selling them. We all love Publix!
And @ladygator posted a photo yesterday of both pilgrims.
It was a lovely dinner. We have finally worked out to have not a ridiculous amount of food!
