Human statue by danette

Human statue

The dog and cat aren't real, but the man is. He sits incredibly still but moves just a tiny bit so you know he is alive.
I guess I could have removed the gate behind him, but I thought it added a dimension. Your feedback is always appreciated.
How interesting!!! The cat and dog look so very real. More so than the man ;-)

Wow! It must be hard to sit still like that for a long time. The dog, and cat are so life like. Cool capture!

Great find and colours

Great shot! I love the interesting opposite type illusion the coloration creates (him being painted muted, statue colors).

Terrific shot, I wouldn't have noticed that the cat and dog weren't real if you hadn't said! Fav

That's funny! My first thought was - the guy is a statue, but the animals are alive. This is mind twisting, and I like it a lot how he "blends" with the background.

Interesting. But what is the purpose?

@skipt07 Art?

@danette - I have seen videos of people posing as statues, but I never saw or heard what the purpose is. Like why would you make yourself sit or stand motionless for hours? But I guess there are some people who can't understand how other people spends hours taking pictures :-/

@cimes1 I'm with Carole! That's amazing...the things people think of!

@skipt07 Besides Mimes (which also fall into this genre), it's referred to as "Performance Art"... And haven't we all been questioned at one time or another as to why we take so many photos? It's "what we do"!
