This cardinal was singing in my tree. Normally, they are so skittish, I can't get too close. There is a superstition that cardinals represent those who have passed. Tomorrow will be one year since my father passed away.
@lynne5477 Just a Sony 18-250. The bird might have only been 15-20' away. Thankful it came out sharp. It's hard in this tree, since there are so many branches and leaves in the way. I was so surprised he didn't fly away long before I got to where I was.
Wow, you caught such a beautiful pose and expression. We have discovered the same with cardinals and butterflies appearing as signs and memories of loved ones. Super fav!
