P51 Mustang "Betty Jane" WWII Fighter

Had the chance yesterday to see some WWII bombers. I am going to post photos this week in honor of those veterans who fought to keep our world safe. If you want to read a story about Betty Jane, read this:

More great clouds amidst the beautiful-blues! I think my dad and I put together a really elaborate wood model of a P-51 when I was a kid. A WWII workhorse in the sky!

I love seeing these old planes at air shows. It's nice that pilots keep them in peak condition so the rest of us can appreciate what they can do.

@skipt07 I can't speak of the motives for those pilots, but this Foundation, to me, is pretty amazing. http://www.collingsfoundation.org/aircrafts/
From what I read on site, this doctor bought these aircraft that had been retired, sitting abandoned in the desert. His goal was to restore them to show condition, not flying condition. However, feedback from others convinced him to get them to fly. The one bomber (B24), took 97,000 hours to restore! It was warmed my heart to see the generations talking.
