The media so much wanted Invest 99L to be a hurricane, or at least a Tropical Storm. It has passed us by as being nothing more than a tropical disturbance, now Tropical Depression 9. Hoping it doesn't gather strength in the Gulf.
The old saying, "Bad news sells" has reached a new apex in the last decade or two. Look how the media goes on a rampage whenever some disease comes along. We were inundated by the media when the aids virus appeared. They made it sound like, "get your affairs in order because sooner or later everybody was going to catch it and die." Then there was the ebola media scare and our wonderful government bringing people contaminated with it back to the US for treatment. People were in panic mode because of what the media was putting out there. Now we are seeing the Zika scare in Florida. I am not saying they are serious concerns but it does seem like the media likes to scare people to get people to read, watch or listen to their ridiculous reporting. And the low lifes at Planned Parenthood using the Zika scare to talk women into aborting their babies because of the chance of them getting Zika.
But you did capture the front as it moved though well!
