Samaritan's Purse is an organization that ships out millions of shoe boxes filled with gifts to impoverished nations. For some, this is an all-year project. Our church dedicates a day for us to volunteer to help other non-profits. Today, over 1100 people volunteered at 36 venues across 2 counties. I was able to photograph the event and another. It is always rewarding.
Unbelievable! I know that our daughter's church is advising for people to bring in items to fill the boxes or give money so others that have the spiritual of shopping 😁can do it for them.
@danette - That is heartwarming to think that thousands of children all over the world will be blessed when they receive one of these boxes and hopefully receive something of much more importance!
