One would think that with all the geyser activity in this lake, that the lake would be warm. However, it averages 42 degrees and completely freezes over in the winter. Swimming is not recommended.
This geyser is called "Fishing Cone". Way back when, a fisherman accidentally dropped a fish in here and it boiled. Afterwards, others did the same. It is dangerous to do so!
