Moving is always harder than anticipated

After 5 PM on Sunday, I took my husband and sister to see the new location of the McNab House. Wouldn't you know it...the road was still blocked! (Roads were to be re-opened at noon.) They were moving this outbuilding to the final destination. During the 30 minutes we stayed, they were able to get it off the road. We watched this man take his equipment and carefully move the pads on the ground to equally distribute the weight of the building. A man near us stated that he moves buildings all the time in Maine (much different) and he was in awe of this man's ability. The good news is that the buildings survived the move. It will be a good location for their permanent home.

I have seen houses on the road before and it just amazes me. Mostly they are prefab but even so quite amazing.

This is quite an accomplishment. Glad the house arrived in one piece.

That is so interesting, Danette. It sounds like a very tedious task.
