This rail car is the one used only by Henry Flagler. It has been restored to it's original condition. It has a living area, bedroom, shower, bathroom, dining area with 2 bunk beds. It is now housed in this gorgeous building with a glass ceiling and floor to ceiling glass windows overlooking the Intracoastal. We found it interesting that really none of the rooms in the mansion overlooked the waterway. The decorations of the interior were very heavy and dark.
@marlboromaam Henry Flagler co-founded Standard Oil with Rockefeller. He often said he would have great wealth “if not for Florida”. He invested vast sums into Florida and his only return was him seeing his vision come to life. He lost a lot of money and he was fine with it. Still, he had a lot more money!
