Out with the old

As Tampa reinvents itself, out will go the flour plant of old to be replaced by shiny new buildings.

Outstanding POV! It's a little sad to see food industries go. I can't help but wonder.

@theredcamera Tampa has tried several times to “upgrade”. This time, there is a lot of money behind it.

Sometimes old buildings are worth saving and rehabbing. But sometimes they’ve served their purpose and best to push forward. I imagine the equipment used in this building was far too outdated for modern use. Though I do hope that businesses stay in America and keep jobs here in America. I would like to be as self sufficient as a country as possible.

@calm Tampa used to be industrial, rather than residential/professional. This plant is using some equipment 100 years old! They are moving to a nearby location with modern equipment. They supply much of the flour to Florida's manufacturers. I agree that we should be a self-sufficient country.
