I had always wanted to venture out into this preserve behind the hotel but never had the courage to go alone. I was out looking for birds when a random lady started talking to me. I explained about the preserve and showed her where it started. Then, we both decided to go ahead and conquer the trail. It was only a mile.
@ludwigsdiana It was pretty, but we didn't find anything. We only passed two others on the trail. It wound through some very pretty property. It is actually quite near the headwaters to the Everglades.
