This iconic home was built by the Galt family (Galt Ocean Mile) in 1936. It sold for $24.5 million in 2019 and will soon be history--to be replaced by one of those square boxes. If you hurry, you can go claim some items from the interior this week. This is an old photo, so not the best.
I'm such a sentimentalist, it's heartbreaking to see beautiful old places demolished! We were only chatting about that this afternoon...how the Royal Hawaiian was to be torn down but was named a place in the Nat'l Historic Registry before they did so! I could go on...had a wonderful evening with the grandsons!
@Weezilou I don't know who started the square box architectural trend, but I don't think people will look back in future years and think it was a good idea!
