We were at the drive thru when I saw this hawk straight ahead. A strange place for a hawk. He wasn't there long. Looked straight at us. I found out a short while later that a dear friend of ours who was battling cancer had passed that morning. I've heard that hawks can be messengers.
Starred ... so sorry for your loss. What a magnificent Broad-winged hawk... I have had hawks appear after loved ones have passed away as well. I also work with injured wildlife and "Broadies" are one of my favorite hawks !
