I have no idea what I was really trying to accomplish here. Something along the lines of shooting bananas head on or something. Exploring wabi-sabi, thought bananas starting to get mottled might work. IDK But I liked the colors.
An unusual POV but would have been better if the edge of the banana that is in focus was the lightest part of the picture. Try and remember that they eye always goes to the lightest area and you need to create a 'hierarchy of interest' with the lightest bit being the sharpest bit! It is certainly a good effect to look at things differently!
@marshwader Thank you for the advice. I was kinda playing with imperfection and didn't like any of the images, so decided to use it as my straight out of the camera challenge. I will keep your advice in mind, though, for future endeavors.
This one kind of creeped me out until I figured out what it was! Your unusual perspective made that banana look like it had an eye, and I could not figure it out! Brilliant use of color and light
