The mess left on the street after the marathon may seem chaotic and overwhelming, but it is a reminder of the incredible effort and determination of the runners who have just completed a grueling 26.2-mile race.
One year I was working in Framingham and with my boss went to watch the runners go by. It is one of those experiences that has stayed with me. The wave like motion of the runners passing by as at that point they are still mostly together.
