Red Truck Approaching by darylo

Red Truck Approaching

While waiting at the stop light in the pouring rain, I picked up my camera and did a random shot of the big red truck on the other side of the road waiting for the light to turn (and to turn left, so he was directly in front). My windshield wiper divided the shot, but I like the effect. Just enough time to complete the shot before the light turned green.

This is a nice abstract in the end. I did do a bird profile shot today, so maybe I'll start using those extra albums soon! Anyone have suggestions on what to put in them or how to make new albums really meaningful (don't want to just upload to upload)?

Oh, and FYI, this photo was blanched completely -- so without editing, the color and effects would not be here. Used the histogram feature to pull it all out. Pretty cool! Otherwise, my estimations on the photographic triangle were awful!
i love the liquidity of light in motion. This feels almost like a warning...

I was sure this was a branch and a camellia flower! It looks like a bokeh-ed version of something very Japanese. And to think, it's a fire truck and windshield wiper???

I initially created an extra album for reposting a photo reprocessed. When I first started 365, I posted a reprocess of a photo two days in a row -- and then when I looked back at my month view I didn't like how it looked. Also, sometimes when I've taken a close-up, I'll put the full view one in the extra album. I also put challenge and theme and other such ones in there as well. Options are endless!

Glad you got histogram practice in -- I need to do that more!

@jyokota Thanks for the reminder to go take a photo of the camellia bush down the street! And thanks for the suggestions for the albums--I want to have some purpose to them. I'll peek at some of those I'm following (you included!). Oh, I told my mom to follow you too--she's Sue Hunter (above your comment).

I like how it is all blurred out :)

@darylo -- @shunter is your mom?! Such nice comments she posts of your photos . . . and she speaks in such beautiful literary language!

Cool blur effect. It looks like a painting. Clever processing.

@danitech It's funny because I had another photo I was working with but I decided to play with this one and I ended up liking it so much more--it's actually a personal fav of mine; teaches me that my random decisions are sometimes really good ones!

@jyokota @shunter is an artist and writer--she's a masterful haiku writer as well! I'm one very fortunate daughter. :)
