What a day. It started out horrible. We had big storms last night and the wren bird house literally started to come apart at the seams--I found that there are FOUR babies now--and I went into a panic because with the top of the house in bits, I had to think quickly to save them and not let the parents abandon them. I'll post a photo later if I can, but let's just say, the pink zebra duct tape is keeping the WHOLE THING together for now. UGH!
Today was also my daughter's Lake birthday party--forecast rain, rain, rain. But you know what? We went anyway and had a blast. The waterpark closed by 1 pm and I got comp tickets for another time--score for us!
This ride I call the "toilet" but it looks like the area in Willy Wonka where Veruca Salt says she wants her very own squirrel. So like a nut, this kid (I don't know) gets shot into this bowl and then circles before going down the shoot to a pool below. I'm borrowing my daughter's Nikon waterproof camera today!
All in all , we are surviving. The birds are still managing, and I'm worrying about their fate. Can't wait to put up a REAL bird house next time.
Oh my, that sounds like a really chaotic day, but I'm glad you found some fun in it! And this photo is pure fun too!! I really hope the birds will be ok!
