Today is my first day venturing into the "Get Pushed" Challenge, and I'm very thankful that @mrsbaldy issued the challenge of "reflection" this week. So here is my first entry: a reflection in my flat screen TV of my "model" hanging out by the window blinds. I think it is telling me to open the blinds because there is some green there outside and I'm depriving myself of its glory with the shades closed. Hope this is a proper reflection.
Also, for those of your House of Pain fans, this is what ran through my head. "I came to get down, I came to get down, so get out your seats and Jump Around!"
Hooray! You joined get-pushed! What an intriguing photo . . . I studied it for awhile, absorbing all that you included here. At first, I wasn't sure it was a reflection because I didn't see both the object and the reflection - I thought it looked like a silhouette. But then, I saw it! I saw the top of the monitor, which indicated to me that the image shown here was, indeed,
reflected on the monitor screen. This is a great first attempt. I might want to try another reflection that includes both the object, and its reflection for an alternate attempt. I hope you like doing get-pushed . . . I love it! It really causes me to think about what I am photographing and how, and doing multiple attempts to learn from the process.
@jyokota thanks so much for your response! I'm thrilled to be among the get-pusheders (hahahaha, that was a word creation fail right there!). I will definitely be stretching the reflection idea this week--I really had little time and thought I'd find what I could. I have an idea of a broken mirror and a landscape or sky of some sorts, but then I may not be getting reflection right. Should the object be visible with the reflection? Hmmm, I think so. I'll see what I come up with!
At first I thought this was a silhouette because of the close crop but then I saw the top and realized it is a good reflection. It would be easier to tell if the object were included in the shot but not a requirement I would think.
This is so cool,Daryl! And most of all congrats on being fearless! Just think of all these challenges as opportunities to try new things! But then, I am a jump right in the water as opposed to dipping my toe in kind of person.
I don't think having the actual object is necessary, but would make the concept of reflection more obvious. Didn't you have a cool mirror photo earlier that showed a reflection? Hmm . . . all this has me thinking.
