Macro Monday thank goodness. I'm struggling. I hate to admit it so close to the end! Today, I looked up words, I tried scouting my environs, I drove around in search of subjects. Then I picked up my macroclip remembering it's macro Monday. It's cold outside, but I braved it for about 5 minutes. Then I came inside and played with my wedding ring, took shots of mirrored accents on mirrors, and then I came upon this item, placed where it shouldn't be, and I had another mother-is-not-pleased moment (have had lots of those lately), but I put it in the light and thought, "it might as well be a potential subject." Click. Done.
Great shot! I'm struggling, too. Not feeling well (AGAIN) and scrabbling about for something, anything to shoot! Will get caught up after work today (I HOPE)! :)
Good for you! A lot of us are struggling at the moment. Good thing my project ended a few years ago, so now I can do whatever I want - like go for a long walk in the park, take a gazillion pics, and hope they hold out until my photomojo comes back!
Brilliant Daryl - such a clever shot - took me a moment to work out what it was!! Hope you didn't stand on it! Know exactly what you mean about it being tricky some days, even though we are so near the end!!! Keep going, I know we can make it! : ))
Oh dear poor you, it sounds like you just had one of those days, but you managed to pull through, well done you, we have come so far and the end is in sight, hang in there and keep on snapping.
Reminds me of those strips of color candy spots from when I was a kid. I still don't know what the original thing is -- so it's a clever shot.
Hang in there, Daryl! You may not think you are inspired, but your photos continue to be fun and interesting.
Sorry, I forgot to send along your Get Pushed challenge for the week. I'm having a bit of a busy week myself. Your challenge is to a light trails / light painting shot. Have fun!
@taffy Thanks -- it's a hairbrush (just laying on the floor where it is NOT supposed to be). :/ I'll get it all done. Just wish I had my enthusiasm back. Usually, at night, I'm scheming, and I have a general PLAN before the next day (like, "remember to take camera on the way to (Insert place)so you can capture that interesting (insert thing) at (insert time)"). My window of time to get shots these day is about max 30 minutes with work and everything else now. :/
@sjoblues Will see if I can fit that in--don't even know what light painting is or how to do it. I will only have one day left to plan as we are expecting an exchange student this week, but , if I get a chance, I'll give it a go. Thanks.
@darylo It is done in the dark, usually. :) It's a long-exposure technique, like car tail lights, or drawing/writing with flashlights or other hand-held light sources. I've also done some by setting the camera on a tripod with the shutter open (in the dark) and waving around strings of colored Christmas lights.
@darylo I can so relate. I was actually excited that today is rust as it's raining and I could take my macro to capture rust in the fence on the walk to my office for class tonite. Really weird when something that mundane and convenient becomes a plus! We've made it so far that I'm optimistic we'll all get to 365 with these ebbs and flows!
Hang in there, Daryl! You may not think you are inspired, but your photos continue to be fun and interesting.
