Get-pushed from @taffy this week is to make a still life of five items from five rooms. She also gave me the option to make a color/mono diptych instead, and while it will not be part of get-pushed, I did make one for the heck of it to see what it might look like ( http://365project.org/darylo/album3/2013-12-09 ) Five items from bottom up:
1) Key that sits in my mother-in-law's mother's secretary; location: front entry
2) Crystal coaster from my mother's house, but was my grandmother's before that; location: family room.
3) Aperitif crystal glass from my father (was his mother's and I use them for raw oyster appetizers); location: dining room.
4) My father's water-skiing trophy when he was young; location: kitchen
5) Snowflake ornament from my sister-in-law on our last family new year's gathering when my grandmother was alive; location: formal living room.
What a great take on the challenge. I love the stacking idea -- each is a treasure, but together, they create a wonderful tower. Well done (and you were so fast at meeting the challenge!)
@taffy Thanks Taffy. This week is my final week of the term, so I have to get on the task as early as possible in the morning each day (grading, grading, grading). :)
