We have this Japanese hat, and it happened to be around when my daughter and her friend finished their science project report this evening. I needed a shot, so my daughter's friend agreed to stand in front of the tree to help me capture some lovely bokeh and her smile of relief...with the Japanese hat too.
I almost didn't get a shot today. Yikes. Grades are in. Tomorrow I'm off to get last minute shopping and everything in order.
Fummy, my sister in law and I used to do this with cushions and pretend to be Napoleon and Nelson when we were much younger. She passed away in 08 and it is one of those memories that always makes me smile, and the rest of the family too. Thanks for making me smile.
