Yesterday, no time for photography--thus the curtain bird.
Today, my husband proposed a hike/photography time together (and he even volunteered to carry lenses because I kept saying "I can only take two lenses").
We went to one of the fabulous parks in our city of Roswell called Leita Thompson Park, which has some lovely hilly trails (the longest is 2.25 miles). I took some shots focusing on light and I knew I wanted one shot for b&w or with selective color for my February goals.
I fell in love with this teeny, tiny flower (really not even noticeable up close) as it was just to the side of some moss on a log (I was taking my shots of the moss and some shoots when I just happened to notice this stunner--I'll link it to my other album). My husband was so kind as I asked for my macro-clip to add on to my Sigma nifty-fifty (the precision is not going to exist there on a full shot--but I love the dreamy effects that came out of it). I've processed this on in LR5 with the high contrast blue filter I think, then I had to take darks down the slider and lights up. It looks different on my two monitors (one has a higher calibration than the other).
I totally thought I knew what this flower looked like in color till I noticed that you uploaded the color version! Love both especially the softness created by the dof in this one! Sounds like a wonderful day!
