New Alien in Town! by darylo

New Alien in Town!

AHHH, the Dogwood is starting to show it's stunning center. I can't wait, I can't wait, I can't wait!

Here is last week's shot: (oh, I'll get to that later--gotta run!). Hit the Monthly view for the progress. I'm running to soccer games!

Abstract April. Think about it. I'll do it with friends if we get enough interested. Coooommmmmeeeee oonnnnnnnn! ;)

Nice shot. Great focal points and bokeh. If you squint, it looks like a gory creature growling at the sun. Great work.

@pamknowler Those little pods are the center of the flower. The flowers are beautiful. I have looked back in my albums from last year and on my computer and I know I have some dogwoods from last spring. We are behind schedule. Last year's shots had my neighbor's camellias in full bloom by the 18th of March. I'm stalking her once again! :) I don't know how long I can keep this up and it may go into April if need be or I'll upload some of my shots from last year to give a real view! This has been such an interesting project. Abstracts, don't know if I can go a whole month. But I've already been playing with some ideas to push me to do new things of really mundane things. :)

I thought of ET immediately. Cool photo. I'll pass on abstract April. Anything that commits to one style causes me to pass up too many other photos that I am more interested in, but I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

It's coming, it's coming!! Fantastic detail.

@rvwalker I understand. I'm using the main album for things I'm trying to work on specifically -- not sure I have the stamina for abstract, but will try, and then I use the other album for the "other" things I'm catching, and then Album 3 has been mostly birds this year. I wish I had made a real plan before becoming an ACE member. My membership started about 3 months or so into my first year, so I didn't get a new album until just awhile ago and after starting year two (would have liked a second year album)....messy...so messy!

As Nick Cage says in Raising Arizona, "Set to pop!" I will have to go see the other ones. I thought you did not like taking abstracts. hee hee
March 23rd, 2014
@espyetta haha. I didn't know what they were. I always liked them--just didn't always agree thst what some called ab abstract was an Abstract. But I have gotten closer! ;)
