I don't have a photo to post for this day, so I went back to my LR5 2013 catalogue to see what I took on Sept. 17 last year. Some of you may be familiar with my grandmother's looking glass, which has figured prominently in some of my photos over the past year and a half. The last shot I took of it was during a One Night Stand with the object of making the subject appear in soft focus. Here it is: http://365project.org/darylo/365/2014-07-14
Unfortunately, I put the piece in my pocket, forgot about it, then it ended up in my washer and, it is ruined. Totally ruined. My heart hurts over it. For some reason, it is my favorite article of hers. It had such a beautiful design to it all. In this shot, I put it up against my cow's skull (long story, already told some day last year) to see what kind of effect I could get. I used a vignetting that I am not fond of, but I didn't have time to edit--it's what I did last year.
My husband is away, helping his father move into assisted living and we are here holding down the fort. I will be posting a photo of my mother-in-law soon to add as another filler -- I know I have one somewhere back in the months. Year 2 will be my last. I can't keep up.
Sad to hear about the looking glass and really sorry about Year 2 being your last. You'll need to set up some other photo stream so we can peak in on what you are doing.
No wonder you have such a heavy heart today...some pretty heavy-duty things going on. Don't go away after this year, just post when it suits you and there's no pressure to keep up.
How heartbreaking! I am so glad you have photos to help you with your memories of it! Hopefully after you take a break you will come back for an occasional post! I have discovered it is easier to keep up when you let go of the guilt of not being constantly present.
