My husband brought back some items we gave our Pop Pop when the children were young. Here is my daughter's explanation of her favorite month (October). How fitting, and yes, it explains a lot about her spelling. Poor thing, she's my child. I'm a walking spelling nightmare...and I'm an English teacher. I love how the cobwebs on my window add to the spookiness of the month--it's so nice to know that not cleaning your windows is considered decoration all this month! Woo hoo!
you can only remove cobwebs if they have been vacated otherwise you are brushing away someones home - love the note - could read every word so nothing wrong with the spelling - lol - ( being a primary teacher gives you a multitude of skills )
That is too too awesome! I love that she wrote such a long note! It's a childhood gem! It deserves this place of honor! (Cobwebs? *I* don't see cobwebs...)
@danette Will be thinking about you. I'm a huge fan of putting things in digital format so I can make a "book" of things. I've made three books this year and it seems to capture the essence of things. I really don't want to hang onto STUFF. My dad hung onto things, but I took photos of the news items or smaller stuff so I could rearrange it in a book if he wanted. It's just one option. Furniture was harder.
My dad was a developer and was primary in the early ages of a nearby town. I have 4 large bins of plaques. I told him I would photograph them, which I did. I made a book. I kept the bins, waiting for a "bit" so he'd forget them. Well, that's when he passed and now it's hard to get rid of the plaques! I want to keep working at minimizing things. I've already reduced much of my paperwork...but the process gets harder from here! I have boxes of history of my dad that we compiled. It's just too important to toss!
