This bird asked me to take its photo. Really. I went outside for a second and I saw this cute one in the tree, so close, and patient. It was saying, "go inside, I'll wait, but don't expect the same pose." So I went inside, got my camera, came out. Card not in camera (of course). Went back inside, came out. No bird, but wait, she went to the hammock for a rest. Then she looked back as if to say, "well, that took you long enough, but here, I'll pose nicely, just enough to get that glint in my eye."
@amandal It appears I'm going for lots of lines every day for ONS9! I'm going to need advice for the dreaded selfie Saturday and very little time for it. I have no remote so...

Great image! The bands of color in the hammock give it a fresh twist on a bird photo... and I love birds! (Unfortunately, the stray cat who has been at my house for a while now likes them, too. )
