Your title is perfect! I felt myself (sitting here in bare feet) saying ouch in my mind! I'm curious about the composition which does work, but breaks the rule of thirds in an interesting way. Did you choose to do this because of the thorn and the little tan piece of it to the right? I think doing that makes your focal point quite dramatic.
