I was all excited the other day that I saw the Cardinal fledgling take its first few flights under the tutelage of its parents, and the next day, I saw the nest. I was so surprised today and when I went to go inspect it today (to see its construction) to see an abandoned egg from the nest. I've never seen a Cardinal egg before, so it was with mixed emotions I took the shot. Used my 35mm (but a 50mm on my camera). Better get used to using that and my 18-135 because that's all I'll have on my trip. Zoom is toast. All those birds moving have killed it I guess. Fun while it lasted.
