No Escape

At the last boil, I took a similar shot--I think I'll make a series of it! See the former shot here: http://365project.org/darylo/album3/2013-09-07

It was another year for our family's Low Country Boil in CT (at my brother's home). This is the 5th Boil, spanning over 10 years now! The event serves 200 people and my family comes from all over to cook the feast for the masses. A proper boil is shrimp, crabs, smoked sausage, fresh corn on the cobb, and potatoes. All cooked in one pot and delivered on a large table for all to come gather, pick, peel, and devour. The party is almost 12 hours long, so we cook about 6 batches to accommodate the different arrival times of all the guests. It's a must see and taste event. Oh, and a live bluegrass band. Southerners do it right! CT residents agree! :)
Great POV and capture

Sounds absolutely delicious. There is quite the story in this crab's claw... poor trapped thing (although so tasty). ;)

As, I feel a little bad for them. But yum.

I like that we see more of the claws here -- sad little creature but it's served its life's purpose well!

Terrific composition to this shot with fabulous color because of the blue crab!
