Just a few photos I took while working the line for my holiday party tonight. As I sit here in my bed, trying to get up to clean the house downstairs, I'm reminded that the last time I had a party was the year my mother-in-law died. It was during that party we got the call that she was unconscious and in the hospital. It's been three years? I can't follow time or keep up with it.
And for those interested, the pork tenderloins above are "cured" in a salt, sugar, dill, garlic mixture--totally unhealthy, but amazing with the dijon mustard dill sauce. My new ovens did their magic. I counter the pork with lots of veggies--in fact, my party is a vegetarian delight. I'm still an omnivore, but I do like my veggies!
Parties are a tremendous amount of work, I think! I've been cleaning, decorating and cooking for one we had last night.
