Taken with phone and did not do a good job of eliminating shadows. Ever since my daughter did a dissection for Bio class she has been asking for vegetarian meals. This was my attempt at tofu by baking it first to crisp it (a great method if you have time). Time. Haha, what's that.
Having second thoughts about taking trip to Canada this summer. I'm so indecisive these days!!!

I'm a semi vege.. so I only eat fish and seafood, otherwise vege. there is so much inspiration out there if you know where to look!! My favourite is Yotam Ottolenghi. He does a column in the Guardian UK - but also has several amazing cookbooks. I have Plenty and Jerusalem. Plenty is only vegetarian and has revolutionised my cooking!!! :) You are welcome!
As we've grown older (and I mean OLD-er), we are eating smaller and smaller portions of meat. This looks really delicious, and it's quite a beautiful food shot.
@brigette thank you Brigette! I am an omnivore; however, I have been doing vegetarian (and even Raw) recipe testing my whole life! It helps that I live cooking. I liked being able to bake the tofu so the texture would improve (tofu is tricky). Fresh ingredients are always satisfying!
@kali66 oh. Come and teach me! Love Jaffrey! Have a great book by her I got a day $2 book sale and it covers many country cuisines in India, Kapan, China, Malaysia and Indonesia.
I think I'm too old and set in my ways to start learning new ways to cook but you have made this look delicious and have even made tofu sound appetizing
