Post Box Thursday Is Here Again

Here is a fairly recently repainted post box in Aldwick, Bognor Regis, next to a lockable cabinet where the postman can store extra bags of mail which hasn't seen a lick of paint in years.
Nice shot

Is this near a Posts office or are they scattered around? Ours are always near the post office, but then we have individual ones for our homes. Funny how they would have a pretty painted one right next to one that needs it!!

@cashew Hi Kathy, these post boxes are located in towns, cities and villages or rural locations and are situated so people can post their mail. They are normally emptied once a day. Post or pillar boxes vary in size according to the location, a larger box for the city centre outside a main post office or a small post mounted one for a village that probably has no post office at all. Painting seems to be random and often the bag storage cabinet is grey rather than red. I don't know how many more I can find on a Thursday as it is a working day and soon it will be dark morning and evening and I don't get a lot of time during the day to get out and photograph things but I'll continue this series as long as I can as it's fun trying to find a box I haven't pictured before.
