This pillar box was made during the reign of King Edward VII (1901 - 1910) and is still in use in Winchester to this day some 106 years after he died. I took this photo in Winchester a few weeks ago as it is quite a rare box to see these days.
You know what I'm going to say Dave!.....The weekend's on it's way! On a serious note, I cannot believe those old post boxes are over100yrs old! I hope they are never taken out of service. They are part of our British heritage, like our famous phone boxes that have sadly all disappeared.
