Loved this old fashioned advert on the station platform at Alresford. How times have changed in so many ways since the 1930s.

@jqf Indeed. Puts me in mind of the times when we were all crowded into that Standard Super 10 of a Sunday, with Dad puffing away on his pipe. Cough, splutter!

Not a fan of smoking for sure, but "old-time" ads sure had a fun style!

I'm a true reformed smoker, i.e. I detest the smell of burning tobacco but there was one pipe tobacco that was heavily laced with vanilla that was quite pleasant.
Nice old sign, despite the subject matter and a great example of well placed text.
