Today it finally rained, which we desperately need, and I stayed in all day.
I'm posting one of my favorite paintings at the Florence Griswold Museum. It's set on the side porch of the Griswold house.
Gentle scenes of home and garden and quiet landscapes were a comfort to people of that era when there was so much change. There was a mood abroad in the land that harkened back to "Old New England," and this group of artists was part of that. I still have these warm feelings about New England as I travel around.
