Cape Ann Houses by deborahsimmerman

Cape Ann Houses

A friend and I went up to Cape Ann for the day. These are some colorful little houses I liked.

The bottom left and center of the smaller squares are in Gloucester on Rocky Neck, where there's an art colony that goes back to the mid-nineteenth century. The yellow house is in Lanesville, a village on the north side of the Cape that is part of Gloucester.

The rest of the houses and cottages are in Rockport, my old home. The pink and purple ones are on the first street I lived on in Rockport. The purple one used to be pink when I lived next door, and an elderly children's book author lived there. The rector's wife took me to visit her once. The cottages with the weathered shingles are on Bearskin Neck.
These are so cute! I love the teal house, it's calling my name :)
