I went to a nearby lake to see how the leaves look. It was a gorgeous fall day but the wind and rain will take down the leaves soon. I had a lot of lovely pictures to choose from for today's picture of the day. But I went with my sentimental choice. My mother died 36 years ago and 5 months before I gave birth for the first time. We used to have a family cabin on a big lake and she loved to sit on our deck and look at the "diamonds" on the lake. This picture is for you, mom. And mom, please watch over that first child of mine. She is about to give birth to her first child - your great granddaughter.
