Good morning, Sunday! What a lovely day it was. I reached 5,000+ steps (halfway to my goal of 10,000) by walking the neighborhood. Felt so good to be outside. I gardened (actually mostly weeded since I have been unable to lean over most of the spring and summer), took care of the birds by cleaning their birdbaths and filling their feeders, sat outside and read my book "The Puzzler" while watching all the planes approaching Minneapolis airport. I am only 10 miles by car from MSP. So many planes this morning...I figure folks heading back home to go back to work after lovely vacations to exotic locales. The book, by the way, is written by an author I enjoy and this book looks at his fascination with puzzles. So far I've read about Rubik's Cube, anagrams, rebuses, jigsaws, mazes and math and logic puzzles. No surprise that I really enjoyed the chapter on math and logic puzzles - I was a math major in college a hundred years ago! I prepared for going back to work tomorrow. We shall see how that goes. I also read inside listening to mostly 70s and 90s music - I'm talking about you, Andrea Bocelli and James Taylor! No tv. Just peace, beauty, quiet, and appreciation.
