Emerald moth by dianeburns

Emerald moth

This little fellow was on my window last night. I don't know what type it is. I thought his colorings were nice.
Thanks to everyone for all your visits.

Very unique colors. Is this a common type for you?

Wow cool moth!
Great detail and colour.......love it against the black!
Do you use an editing program to change the background colour in your photos Diane?
May 20th, 2014
nice shot... very cool!
May 20th, 2014
@radiogirl no this is the first time, the original background had spots all over it from my dirty window, which is thanks to the moths lol. So I watched a youtube tutorial on how to change the background, I have photoshop CS2 which is a free version, but didn't know how to use it. I was happy with the outcome because sometimes just a little spot can ruin a photo.

@radiogirl Also I have a piece of black glass I have used for my reflection shots. The mirror image shot was done on that with a lamp for the lighting. it's fun trying all these things some times they work and sometimes they don't! Lol
May 20th, 2014
@dianeburns ok thanks Diane.......I have photoshop elements and didn't know how to change the background so I too watched a YouTube tutorial on how to do to it........your moth looks beautiful with the black background.
May 20th, 2014
@dianeburns I was going to ask you how you did your reflection shots.......they turned out lovely!
Great idea using a piece of black glass, very creative.
It's so much fun experimenting..........I just wish I had more time.......work gets in the way!!!
