I haven't taken many night sky shots. The sky was cloudy but did show the moon for a moment. Have no idea how to get a good moon shot but I did like how the cloud came out in this one, not so much the moon!
Have been very busy so unable to view and comment, sorry everyone, I will try to catch up @padlock(?)
Great shot, but as you see the moon is over exposed. My husband is the person who takes moon shots and also planets etc too with his camera set on the telescope, but if you are interested he said have your camera on Manual and set exposure at 1/400th sec, aperture f8, ISO start at 800 and if it is too dark then try 400 ISO and maybe even 200 ISO. Give it a go and see how it goes. Maybe a tripod could be the way to go too, that would stop any movement.
I must try some moon shots, not tried it yet, but too cold at the moment for me.
I think you have done very well to capture this gorgeous night sky. This is something I just can't seem to manage yet on my wee camera - everything is too far away.
This is great! I think it is fantastic! I have been taking some moon shots lately but have not liked how they have turned out. I need to keep practicing. :D!
