So this afternoon I headed down to get a sunset shot of one of the local lighthouses. While I was waiting for the colors to intensify I turned around and was shooting the moon. Suddenly this critter ran past me! I chased him down the icy, rock covered beach trying to catch a shot. He kept ducking in hoes in the seawall waiting for me to catch up and then taking off again. He was fast so I'm happy I got this shot but wished I had gotten a better one of his face. He was the size and shape of a ferret. But after looking it up, I think he's a mink! My first wild mink!!!! This is why I love this project! :)
@elatedpixie I ( and minks apparently) live in southern Maine east coast USA. It is cool. I've now read up on minks! Can't say I'm an expert but now I know something about them!
@dianen it is way cool! No wonder you have such beautiful pics! I would like to visit the New England states! A local pet store had a mink and he was tame, he loved Doritos and if it heard the bag it would come out of its cubby waiting for to share! He was so neat. The only one I've ever seen!
