Although i'm not a huge fan of birds, I did go out of my way to help this guy today. After my early morning walk, I found this little guy on my front yard, close to the road. I surmised he had been hit by a car. His wings seemed to work but he did not fly and kind of dragged his back end along. I moved him up the lawn, away from the road. he didn't look good and I thought we'd be removing him by noon. But he rallied! Around 3 he was still on the ground, moving in the same way but he seemed to have more spunk. Thats when I called in some help. He's been transported to an avian sanctuary for assessment and hopefully help!! Doesn't that beak look like he could do some damage??
