This is the local steam train that runs from Glenbrook to Waiuku - a 15km round trip. The trains are run by a group of enthusiasts from the Railway Enthusiasts Society. The engines and carriages are absolutely immaculately kept. (For those who saw my last week's picture, this train is about to go under 'the bridge to nowhere'.)

Oh Dianne, I went on this train many years ago when my boys were small. They had a Thomas the Tank Engine day, and all the trains had character faces on. It was such fun. Lovely photo!
