At the museum yesterday - these three were getting ready to perform a Maori cultural dance. With their taiaha, they look like they are about to hunt the lion…. Taiaha are a wooden weapon that is used for the traditional Maori challenge during a powhiri (a formal welcoming ceremony).
We didn't get anything like this in this exhibition when it was held in the Tring branch of the NHMuseum!
Nice shot, the light and the blue tones are great.
