Feijoas in the making

These feijoa flowers are not unlike the NZ pohutukawa flowers. They were hard to capture as it was very windy today.
I had such a lot of trouble uploading this image - the site wouldn't accept the date (13th) - after trying about ten times, I had a look at yesterday's shot…. and yes, yesterday, I had used the 13th instead of the 12th!!!!!
Wow that is so cool... it looks like fireworks.. can't wait till the fruit are ripe and ready to eat....

It was so windy here too! I have never seen Feijoa flowers - have to consider carefully how to spell this! Like fireworks.... fav

@maggiemae Yes - too cold down your way for these trees - I always try to take either fresh or frozen feijoas to my South Island sisters when I visit. Since my sisters were originally from the NI, feijoas are something they really miss.
