I have made meringues for our Year 13 (7th form) reunion tomorrow. I'm not a very good cook (and I hate cooking), but our neighbour Viv gave me a never fail recipe…. I think they'll get eaten, along with fresh strawberries and cream.
@nicoleterheide It's pretty easy: beat two egg whites, adding 1 1/2 cups sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla ess, 1/4 cup boiling water - add slowly and alternately. Beat until stiff. Put in spoonful lots onto baking paper on tray. Cook slowly 125 degrees C for 1 hour. Store in airtight container.
