Anniversary cake

Our lovely neighbours had their 25th Wedding Anniversary yesterday. We had a 'pot-luck' dinner at their sister's place and it was lots of fun. (For those overseas, 'pot-luck' is where everybody brings a plate of food and it is a shared meal - amazingly it is usually a well balanced meal too.) This cake was made by the 'bride's' mother (she's nearly 92!), and iced by one of the sisters.

What a lovely cake.. very traditional. We to had a 'Pot Luck' dinner last night... funny not such an even mix as we only had 2 salads there and they were both broccoli.. but both very yummy...

I thought it might be the same pot luck meal as Julz but I don't think so reading her post. I always admire you in NZ ...you always tKe something to share....my DIL are the same now. We do pot luck too but not as common & we call it Jacobs Join!
