Had a lovely morning helping @julzmaioro and her family move the cows to new grazing a few kilometres from the home farm. They were all very well behaved cows, but had no regard for traffic lanes...That's why we were there with flashing lights!
@maggiemae@wordpixman Luckily they didn't have to go too far or too fast - they set the pace and the road is a very quiet country road, where it's not unusual to have hoofed traffic.
Great shot of these cows and background. We used to walk cattle to crofts my dad rented a few miles from the farm - of course not much traffic then in 60s.
I've seen a sight similar to this but not because the cows were be moved but because they'd let themselves out of their pasture and were on a bit of a walk about through the county. Cows are such nice animals. Thanks for sharing this lovely country scene.
Lovely shot. unfortunately you cant get away with moving large groups of cattle more than a short distance on roads in the UK, too much traffic. Shame as its much less stressful than loading them
